It was a rainy Saturday, and my friend Lena insisted that we go out. "It's time you stopped watching films at home," she said, "and saw something in town." I would rather have stayed on the sofa, but I agreed. We couldn't decide which film to see, so in the end we chose a blockbuster that Lena described as if it were the best movie of the decade. To be honest, I found the plot predictable, though the soundtrack was amazing. Afterwards, Lena talked as if she had personally met the director. On Sunday, it was my turn to choose: I took her to a photography exhibition, which felt as if it had been made just for me. She admitted she would rather have gone shopping, but she enjoyed it more than she expected. By the end of the weekend, I decided it was time I made the most of my free time instead of staying in.

论课文里的虚拟语气怎么运作

would rather + 动词原形（宁愿做…）：I would rather stay on the sofa.（现在/将来的偏好）

would rather + have done（当时宁愿没…）：I would rather have stayed on the sofa.（与过去相反的偏好，课文里是"当时宁愿待着"）

It's time + 过去时（早该…了）：It's time you stopped watching films at home.（字面"是你停下的时间了"，实际用过去时表"早该"）

as if + 过去时（好像）：she talked as if she had met the director.（as if 后常用虚拟，表示"并非事实"）

考试怎么考：Use of English Part 4 常考 would rather ↔ prefer / would rather do ↔ would rather have done 转换；Part 2 完形考 it's time + 过去时。

高频陷阱

① interesting vs interested：事物用 -ing（an interesting film）；人用 -ed（I'm interested）。写评论说"电影很有趣"用 interesting。

② overrated vs underrated：overrated = 被高估（其实没那么好）；underrated = 被低估。别写反。

③ see a film vs watch a film：see a film 强调"去影院看"；watch a film 强调"在家看屏幕"。课文里 go out 看电影用 see。

④ fun vs funny：funny = 好笑的（滑稽）；fun = 好玩的/有趣的。一场展览很有趣是 fun/enjoyable，不是 funny。

语法延展 · 虚拟语气（would rather / it's time / as if）

The Subjunctive

虚拟语气在 B2 不是大理论，而是三组固定句型：would rather（偏好）、it's time（该做了）、as if（好像）。它们的共同点是：说"与事实不符/早该做了"时，动词往"过去"退一步。这正是 B2 写作能写出"高级感"的秘密。

最高频陷阱

① would rather 后接原形，不是 to：❌ I'd rather to stay → ✅ I'd rather stay。

② It's time 后接过去时：❌ It's time you go → ✅ It's time you went（虚拟）。但 It's time to go（无人称）是对的。

③ would rather someone did：希望别人做，用过去时——I'd rather you came tomorrow，不是 come。

④ as if 非事实才用虚拟：as if 表真实可能时可用直陈式（It looks as if it's going to rain）；表夸张比喻时用虚拟（He acts as if he were the boss）。

考试怎么考：Part 4：I prefer not to go out. → I'd rather not go out（2–5 词）。

The acting was superb, and the soundtrack was stunning — I left the cinema humming the tunes. However, the plot was a little predictable, and some scenes felt too long. My friend talked as if she had met the director, which was entertaining.
On the whole, I'd recommend it to anyone who loves music dramas. I'd rather watch this than a typical action film, and I think it's time more people went to the cinema instead of streaming at home.
