It's Raining!
原创课文，场景：星期六早上，6 岁的 Lily 想出去玩，可是窗外下雨了。这是 Starters 听力"看图选天气"和口语"说天气"的经典话题——注意加粗的天气词和 It's -ing，第 3 章逐个拆。

课文 · Staying Inside

It's Saturday. Lily wants to go to the park. She looks out the window. Oh no! It is raining. The sky is grey. "Mum! It's raining! I can't go out to play," Lily says. "What's the weather like today, Lily?" Mum asks. "It's rainy and cold," says Lily. "Look, the trees are moving. It's windy too!" Mum smiles. "We can play inside. What's your favourite season?" "Summer!" says Lily. "In summer, it's hot and sunny. I can eat ice cream and swim." "But now it's winter," Mum says. "In winter, it's cold. Sometimes it snows. Look — it's raining now, but we can read books together!" Lily smiles. She has got a book about sunny days. They read and drink hot tea. What a nice day, even when it's rainy!

第 1 句：问天气。What's the weather like today?（like 别丢）

第 2 句：答天气（形容词）。It's sunny / rainy / windy / cloudy / snowy.（It's + 天气形容词）

第 3 句：正在下（进行时）。It's raining! / It's snowing!（It's + 动词-ing）

考试怎么考：Starters 听力看图选"这是什么天气"；口语让你说"你最喜欢的季节"。听准 sunny/rainy/windy 就稳了。

高频陷阱

① windy 是"刮风"，不是"多风的人"：天气形容词都以 -y 结尾：wind→windy，rain→rainy，cloud→cloudy，sun→sunny（双写 n）。

② autumn 是英式，fall 是美式：剑桥 Starters 用 autumn。听到秋天先想 autumn。

③ What's the weather like：like 不能丢，这是固定句型。别说 What's the weather?（不完整）。

④ sunny 双写 n：sun→sunny，不是 suny。snowy 不用双写（snow 结尾已是 w）。

语法延展 · 天气形容词与现在进行时入门

Weather Adjectives & Present Continuous
天气用"It's + 形容词"，正在下雨用"It's + 动词-ing"。Starters 只要会这两句，不用学完整现在进行时。这一章入门即可。

最高频陷阱：形容词还是 -ing

口诀：描述"今天天气"用形容词（It's rainy）；强调"正在下"用 -ing（It's raining）。两句都对，意思差不多。

动词加 -ing 规则：rain→raining，snow→snowing，wind→winding（少见）。直接加 -ing 就行，Starters 不考复杂变化。

考试怎么考：看图选词 —— 图上在下雨，填 It's ___（rain 的 -ing 形式 raining）。
