Welcome to my town! It's a small but friendly town. There is a big park in the centre. In the park there are many trees and a small lake. There is a cafe next to the lake — we often have lunch there. Opposite the park there is a supermarket. My mum buys food there. Next to the supermarket there is a bank. Behind the bank there is a library. I read books there after school. There is a school on Green Street. It's next to the hospital. There are two shops on Green Street: a bookshop and a toy shop. My favourite place is the park. There is a play area with swings and a slide. I go there every Saturday. There aren't any cinemas in my town, but there is a small museum. I love my town!

高频陷阱

① next to vs near：next to 是"紧挨着"（隔壁）；near 是"附近"（不一定挨着）。Flyers 看图：贴一起选 next to。

② opposite vs in front of：opposite 是"对面"（隔一条路/一个空间）；in front of 是"在…前面"（同一个空间）。

③ on the street vs in the street：英式 on Green Street；美式也说 in the street。Flyers 用 on。

④ between A and B：between 后面必须有 and——between the bank and the library，不能只说 between the bank。

there is/are 说"有"，方位介词说"在哪"。这两块是 Flyers 看图说话和 KET 口语"描述地方"的核心语法。

最高频陷阱：is vs are

单数用 is，复数用 are：There is a cafe. / There are two shops。看到 a/an/单数名词用 is，看到 many/two/some 复数用 are。

考试怎么考：Flyers 完形："There ___ three shops on the street." 填 are（three 是复数）。

there is vs have：there is 是"某地有"（存在）；have 是"某人有"（拥有）。不能说 "The town has a park" ✗（英式也对，但 Flyers 标准答案是 There is a park）。

方位介词表

易混陷阱

① in the tree vs on the tree：外来的东西（鸟/猫）在树上用 in the tree；长在树上的（苹果/叶子）用 on the tree。

② in the wall vs on the wall：窗户/门在墙里用 in the wall；画在墙上用 on the wall。

③ at the corner vs on the corner：Flyers 先记 at the corner（在拐角），KET 再细辨。

考点：There is/There are/There isn't——描述地图"有什么"。

描述位置
The cafe is next to the lake.
The library is opposite the park.

问路与指路
Excuse me, where is the bank?
Go straight. It's on your left, next to the supermarket.
