一句话：中文"我爸爸是医生"不说"一个医生"，英文必须说 "My father is a doctor"。职业是可数名词，前面一定要有 a / an。另一个坑是"在哪上班"：大地方用 work in（in a hospital），小地点用 work at（at the factory gate）。
比如你想说"我妈妈在学校当老师"，就是 My mother is a teacher. She works in a school.；想说"我未来想当工程师"，就是 I want to be an engineer in the future.——engineer 元音开头，要用 an。

错误 1：职业前漏冠词 ✗ My father is doctor. → ✓ My father is a doctor. 职业是可数名词，单数前必须有 a / an。元音开头用 an（an engineer / an office worker）。
错误 2：work in / on / at 介词乱 ✗ He works in a farm. / She works at a hospital. → ✓ He works on a farm. / She works in a hospital. 农场固定用 on a farm；医院/学校/工厂/办公室用 in；airport / station 这种小地点用 at。
错误 3：cook 与 cooker 混 ✗ My mother is a cooker. → ✓ My mother is a cook. cook = 厨师（人）；cooker = 锅/炊具（物）。同理：teacher 不是"教具"。
